Abbie Akehurst

Client Experience Coordinator

Abbie is currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics at the University of Queensland, where she is developing an understanding of financial markets, economic theory, and wealth management strategies. Her passion for learning and problem-solving makes her a natural fit for the Fuse Wealth team, where she helps create a smoother, stress-free experience for clients.

Abbie thrives in a structured, organised environment and is a firm believer in the power of a good ‘to-do’ list. She loves working in a fun, supportive office, where she can grow both personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact on clients’ financial journeys.

A lover of adventure, Abbie counts Japan as her favourite travel destination, with its beautiful snow, incredible food, and welcoming people leaving a lasting impression. When she’s not at work or studying, she enjoys beach days with friends and family and has recently rejoined a local women’s AFL team, excited to be back in a competitive, team-focused environment.

A Coolangatta local, she’s a regular at Franc Jrs, and firmly recommends the Square Detroit-style pizza as a must-try.

When it comes to defining success, Abbie believes in giving everything her all and looking back with pride – no regrets, just growth. She’s also got her eye on graduating with a High Distinction to cap off her studies.

A valuable lesson she has learned in recent years is to back herself – particularly in the face of challenging, highly competitive, male-dominated environments. Studying finance and economics has reinforced her confidence in her own skills and potential, proving that she is just as capable of success as anyone else.

Oh, and if you’re wondering – her first concert was the Foo Fighters when she was seven years old-clearly her parents are very cool.
